Canine Partners for Life
This organization has been established as long as MLVH - 25 plus years. They provide service dogs for individuals with a variety of needs including physical challenges and medical conditions. While is costs approximately $30,000 to train and provide lifetime support for these amazing dogs, the adoption cost is only $1,000 to $3,000 and no one is ever denied a companion based on ability to pay.
We ask that you seriously consider the wonderful and life-changing service this group of hard working individuals
provides. While traditionally the dogs are trained to aid people with physical disabilities (ALS, stroke, MS, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, spinal cord/paralysis disorders) they are also training dogs to assist children and adults with diabetic low blood sugars and seizure disorders.
The pictures from the slide show on this page were copied from the CPL website (with permission) where they are followed by stories of the unique relationship between the people and their service dogs.
CPL is a non-profit group whose work relies on the dedication of countless supporters and its volunteer network.
Please support them in any way you can. They appreciate any gifts, monetary or physical, you can provide.
